Katie Badsen is a Durhamite at heart although she's lived much of her adult life in Nashville. You might recognize Katie from Season 10 of NBC's The Voice where she placed in the top 20 of a group where just making the show is an amazing achievement. She's got great talent and a range of performing interests - everything from this song, which seems like it could easily be the theme music for a reboot of True Blood, to gospel.
I don't make requests of musicians other than they play 60 minutes of all original music, it will be really interesting to see what music Katie chooses to perform in her set list starting 4:15pm on Saturday, May 11th.
