The Broadway Our Way festival is right around the corner, giving you an opportunity to let your hair down and dance to a mix of favorites spanning multiple genres just a month ahead of Carolina Indie Fest.
The annual gathering in Sanford's neighbor to the east will take up most of the day on April 15 - from 10 a.m. until well after 7 p.m. - on Main Street in Broadway, and five acts are booked that are sure to bring something for everyone.

11 a.m.: Sweet Potato Pie
"Sweet Potato Pie is a premiere all female band that has been entertaining audiences for over two decades with their classy blend of Americana, Bluegrass, Country and Gospel music mixed together in a style they call 'sweetgrass.' Radio and TV are well acquainted with their 'angelic' vocals from appearances on PBS, the Food Network and worldwide radio broadcasts. 1 p.m.: The Simpletones
Sanford's own The Simpletones are four local guys "who play a wide mix of popular rock n roll and pop covers." -facebook.com
3 p.m.: Dalton Davis
North Carolina native Dalton Davis was the 2023 winner of the March Bryan Honda Carolina Artist Showdown, and also a finalist for the Carolina Country Music Awars Entertainer of the Year.
5 p.m. Tonk Honky
Comprised of Sanford locals Chad Spivey and Kevin Wind and known in the area via acts like Tuesday Night Music Club, Bad Moon Rising, and Old North State, Tonk Honky performs a range of classic country/honky tonk covers.
7 p.m.: The Main Event Band
Billed as "the ultimate party band," the Main Event Band is a 7-piece, horn, ultimate party band performing R&B, Soul, Beach, and Funk. - facebook.com
