Here We Go! Indie #9 Incoming

At 5pm tonight we kick off our 9th Carolina Indie Fest and, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, it's entirely free to attend. Here's the haps for tonight - Friday, Sept 25th.

Bands

5pm - David Michael Miller - acoustic blues

Food Trucks

Tacos El Primo - Indie sponsor, official caterer and purveyor of Mexican style tacos to the Sanford area for over a quarter century. That's a lotta tacos!

Cousins Maine Lobster - It took a shark tank to make this lobster truck happen! Lobster rolls, lobster tater tots, lobster everything. You can order from your seat and pickup between bands!

Dalat - Streets of Vietnam - Spring rolls, banh mi sandwiches and noodles await

Doy Doy Grill - Mediterranean foods including gyros & kabobs

Ruckus City Kitchen - don't be fooled by the smaller sized trailer, great grilled foods lie within!

Various Relevant Things

There are scads of parking in downtown Sanford, here's a handy map for your use. Just know the lot at the corner of Steele and Cole will be full of vendors and the middle of Steele Street between Wicker and Cole will be closed for food trucks.

Bring a lawn chair for the best seats. This weekend will turn a bit cooler (60-65F after 8pm) so prepare accordingly.

Familes are welcome - we even have some features, like face painting, fairy hair and laser tag, just for you.

Dogs are welcome - just be very aware of them, music festivals are loud and can be chaotic to our four legged friends. If it works out for them to join us, have them visit Tramway Dog Grooming for pup cups and Bark Rebel doggy food truck both on Saturday. There will be CBD balm for tired paws at Elevation Station on Friday and Saturday.

Oh, and your first pour will come in a commemorative Indie Fest stadium cup. You pay the princely sum of $1 for the cup and get to keep it for refills (yes we wash the cups!) Bring any cup from a prior Hugger Mugger Brewing festival and skip the $1 charge. Thanks for participating in this tradition, it started as a way to reduce our waste footprint but has turned into a way for people to collect new dinnerware. Amazing. See you at Indie!
