Introducing Lipbone Redding

Lipbone Redding is a one man band who sings, plays guitar and percussion & uses his mouth

to imitate the trombone (Lipbone is a portmanteau of Lip + trombone). He pulls influences from wherever he finds them and his lyrical narratives are as varied as the instruments he performs.

A North Carolinian, Lipbone learned his mouth instrument abilities while living in the East Village of New York City. If you've listened to The Rant interview podcast with Lipbone you'll know he honed this craft with a group of beat boxers who would meet and perform music - but only through beat boxing. Cool stuff!
